We better all slim down

I think a lot of us are failing to realize that obstructive sleep apnea is a real medical condition with real and serious complications that go above and beyond the simple but also real being very tired all the time. It is linked with early and much higher risk of heart failure and disease. The FAA aeromedical branch has a legitimate interest to try to ensure that pilots with sleep apnea are being treated. Unless you've got a problem with the entire system of FAA flight physicals I don't see why everyone is complaining?

Because Internet.

Frankly, I do think the entire system of FAA flight physicals is ridiculous. We've had plenty of guys bite it in-flight, yet no airplanes falling out of the sky. We all know that modern airliners can be easily flown single pilot when needed. It's a bit over the top to think that safety requires us to worry about things like BMI, blood pressure, or taking Zyrtec.

I see your point up until the Zyrtec part. Somebody dies in flight, that's pretty obvious with a rather simple course of action. Someone is a little hazy because they took Nyqull the night before, that's a different problem that probably isn't ok.

So in my younger dumber years I wanted to drink 24 redbulls in 24 hours. I did a quick google and came across this:

Man Drinks 20 Red Bulls and Goes Crazy
This happened a while back, but still makes us laugh serves as an example.

48 year old Peter Edwards was caught “swerving from side to side” across the road. The police had trouble stopping him – he overtook their car and almost rammed into a truck. He was eventually stopped using a “stinger device” that punctured his tires.

Edwards was later tested and found to be free of any alcohol and drugs.

It turns out he had consumed 20 cans of Red Bull. By the sounds of it, he had been drinking these over the duration of a whole night. By our calculations thats about 1.6 grams of caffeine – still a long way off from a lethal dose – but enough to make you go crazy.

Red Bull made this inane comment:

“there is no added benefit in consuming the product in excessive amounts.”

Yeah no kidding.

Only 2% of the population suffers any feelings of drowsiness from Zyrtec. And that's usually gone after your body gets used to it. And because of that, I have to suffer taking crap that doesn't work like Claritin.

At E3 2012, I was flirting with a girl giving out JOLT Energy drinks for free and I pounded 3 in a few minutes. Back then I drank Mt. Dew and energy drinks almost daily, but I understimated all the crap in those big ass(you can totally say ass on here) cans of JOLT. The comedown was like death, I was in a large group and the majority of the people with me wanted to take me to the hospital and thought I looked severely ill. I refused and drank about 2 dozen glasses of water and kept almost collapsing in a Korean BBQ joint. My body just kept telling me to lay down and sleep but I fought it off. I avoided caffine for months after that, going in too deep with energy drinks is no joke.

Annnnnd I'm glad I never tried to drink 24 red bulls in 24 hours.
