I don’t care if someone agrees. As a matter of fact I enjoy the debate. With that said Just making a point about the hypocrisy. Evil capitalist while asking for more from same evil capitalist. Interesting how that works!
I expect most on here are young and have never experienced tough times and seen how capitalism gives all an opportunity to make “

I hate Capitalism --- BUT I WANT TO NEGOTIATE a RAISE
All these complaints and arguments about contracts and raises is all possible thanks to capitalism.

How would this industry operate in a socialist country?
 
Not that this is the forum for discussing economics but if anyone believes best economic practices include: Reagan era economic policies, national protectionist policies instead of global market economic policies, or investing corporate profits in shareholder returns instead of reinvesting into the company; I have oceanfront property sitting on top of a mountain in Iowa to sell you

Not sure of your logic there, but maybe a little understanding of economics and history would teach you that there is no such thing as Global Market Economic Policies -- Not until there is complete free trade.. Until then your point is moot and lacking in basic economic understanding. _ Not shocking though since you were obviously sold... oceanfront property on top of a mountain in Iowa.. _ Sell that to someone else on here... But not a socialist.. They arent allowed to buy property -- It must be taken from you and given to them.
 
As much as I would like to have an open discussion with you regarding economics your mind is ironically closed to the free movement of ideas, which the completely free trade you claim to want would help to facilitate. *shrug*

You must be read another thread the only individuals closed to a free exchange of ideas are individuals on this thread who believe that we all should have the same view points..
I enjoy an vigorous discussion, what I cant stand is people making statements like this:

Well not to make any enemies on here but IF and thats a BIG IF the NMB releases UPS DXers to strike they are not shutting anything down. A group of 200 or so dispatchers are not bringing any airline to it's knees you're too small of a group even if your job is operational control. If 11,345 air traffic controllers bring fired couldn't bring air travel to it's knees 200 or so DX'ers won't. We thought that too when we went on strike at NWA in 2005 and you would not believe who in the FAA will look the other way and when your president is a republican as ours was with Bush I saw things I never thought I would see when I was on strike. Also don't forget about those in your own group that will cross your picket line and you can count on it.

I agree with almost everything you said with the exception of who is in the White House.. I think that rarely matters in instances like this.

Sometimes I wonder if people consider the consequences of striking -- How it may affect families etc...
Additionally, if striking is ok -- Is a company lockout okay too?

Debate is not simply name calling and stating someone doesn't understand a topic without any proof that you yourself have an understanding of said topic. That being said... I'd rather have a "debate" with a rock wall than an individual who can't carry on a civil conversation. Nothing like assuming you have a firm grasp on the demographics of this forum and what they have or have not been through.

Furthermore, the number of times I read individuals attack others who didnt agree with their views is mind blowing.. Yet they are the same people talking about civility.. Take a look in the mirror dude.

With 100% backing of the IPA and MX group, I’m pretty sure it would be crippling to the operation. Not to mention the support from the ground side. Any one of our groups strike, the operation is severely crippled. This is union members supporting union members (not that we’ve seen 100% of that here from a select few JC members!). And contrary to what you believe from your personal experience, not a single qualified UPS dispatcher (not on probation) would be crossing any line. 100% unity.
