Tell me more. Go talk to some DTW/MSP/ORD/really any CRJ guys outside of SLC and let me know how happy they are.
Lots of guys have been really happy, right up until they're not.

In 10 years they spin off this "ExpressJet" with a nice Capacity purchase agreement of long duration which can be chipped away at about 50% through it's lifespan. United makes nice coin on the IPO and proceeds to sell it's shares. You know how the rest goes...
Sure I'll take a survey prompted by an internet poster. Perhaps you don't like the happy thing.Tell me more. Go talk to some DTW/MSP/ORD/really any CRJ guys outside of SLC and let me know how happy they are.
So ur leaving?Nothing makes me happier than being forced to work every day I need off, even at 40 percent seniority. Need a Tuesday off? Nah, you’ll be in Williston. Also, here’s 95 hours and 12 days off.
So ur leaving?
I get it work could always be better but even in this environment Skywest is clearly better for you than an envoy or endeavor.
I think you're having a different conversation. I believe it's reasonable to think things will someday change. It's my number one goal to leave, yes. In the mean time I am trying to make this a better place if at all possible. When I started SkyWest was at the top of the "regional list", but I feel that is changing. If I were looking at airlines today, I think my decision would be different. I'm not saying I'm not happy, but we are so short staffed here on the CRJ it's getting challenging to remain insanely positive. There are many people here who are extremely loyal to this company, and for that reason I don't think much will change. I am sorry for what has happened to the ExpressJet guys, but as a pilot there is nothing I can do.
I think the giant rise in pay at the regional level in a market effect. I think skywest will have to drag along slowly and "keep up". That is to say, that while their improvements will be smaller and market driven, theybwill happen or Skywest will point tits up.I think you miss a lot of the point of having a union if you think it's only about getting a few improvements to work rules or pay rates.

But let me be more clear.
You're doing it wrong....Nothing makes me happier than being forced to work every day I need off, even at 40 percent seniority. Need a Tuesday off? Nah, you’ll be in Williston. Also, here’s 95 hours and 12 days off.
Exaggerations??? Not quite.Exaggerations. It's not as bad as they say. I don't know what it is but when a CRJ guy talks to an ERJ guy its "omg i flew 28 legs this 4 day and each overnight was 10 hours and we deiced every time" In my opinion if you were hired at Skywest after 2015 complain at your own peril.

Below industry standard pay is plenty to complain about.
Almost 1,000 seniority numbers in 2 years... People are leaving. Granted a lot to majors and not to other regionals, but making a lateral move while close to upgrade would be a pretty colossally stupid move.If Skywest pilots were unhappy they'd leave. If they did Skywest would make changes.
