I would think after 10 years you may have formed long lasting habits that might be hard to break

I don't see that as the case. As dispatchers we are always learning on the job and should be able to make changes in our work habits. I now in my case every office I have worked in has been different policies and procedures and you have to be able to conform to that office.
Really, it depends on the individual. I've known fresh out of school dispatchers to be very good, and know a few 25 year veterans who get lost on a jepp plate. It's basically first day, every day for those 25 years.
The Senior Dispatchers in your office would certainly have you think so. There are more than one who profess that more experience = fewer diversons. I have no comment on that particular matterI think that's an interesting question, is a dispatcher significantly better after 10 years than say 3 years?
Are you working next Friday morning the 13th? If so, I'll look you up!Had a couple people come through the office today on their interviews. Make sure to come visit us on the floor if you have time.
Sorry I will not be. But I would sit down with one of us for sure. It will give you the best idea of the tools we are using. Are you working next Friday morning the 13th? If so, I'll look you up!
