United hiring

If you never ask the question, the answer is always no. Keep putting it out there, man!

I really appreciate that pljenkins. You're right. It's taken me a while to have that mindset.

Meanwhile time has past me by at times. I'm all in for whatever now.

United will hire with no experience

I've seen some internals get hired that way, or people hired for non-dispatch jobs such as load planners get into the company that way, but I've never seen anyone get hired as a dispatcher or dispatch support coordinator without dispatch experience.

What type of dispatcher is United looking for: experienced or less experienced ? How important is a supervisory background to them?

I just got my license, have NO aviation background, and don't want to live in Chicago... United is going to hire me, right?

They've hired people from a variety of different backgrounds - but having a supervisory background doesn't seem to be very important in my observations. I would say most people have at least two or three years of dispatch experience.

Thanks I've heard from everyone
that I applied but United has never contacted me once so I am going to try once again. Not sure what they are really looking for or too much experience is not good match for united

united seems to hate experienced people with supervisory backgrounds. Most of the people I know that have been hired there recently have less than two years in.
