This dude’s obviously unstable and has no business being in a cockpit. No person with a stable frame of mind would behave this way. That said the union will protect him and give him extra training on WHERE to swing an axe while he’s pay protected for trips lost.

I think what we’re learning here is that a) the DEN lot is legit terrible based on the stated concurrence, and b) a “strangers on a train” approach is the correct way to go here, where an aggrieved party hires someone who has no business at the airport to take one of the cars off blocks on their front lawn and go ram the • out of as many parking lot stop arms as possible before disappearing into the night. Maybe dropping a note to avoid it being interpreted as a random drunk or stolen joyride.

While your first sentence may be true, if it wasn’t, it wouldn’t excuse the rest. There were plenty of times in my life where it wasn’t true, and I still managed not to destroy something. Despite wanting to.

There is a name for humans who give into immediate emotional impulses and wreck things to the detriment of their own existence and the status quo.

They are called toddlers.

She acknowledged publicly that she thinks gay folks are pedophiles.

Knowing that information, how is the company supposed to send her off on trips that likely have a gay crew member without at least telling reminding her of standards of conduct?

Didn't it say specifically this is about posts on a (maybe private?) Facebook group? That's like boomer internet stupid to post crap like that there. I'm guessing someone in the group, complained to her company. It's all PR, in one way or another. Company probably doesn't want her saying things not in line with their policies, publicly. I don't think anyone is having "adult conversations" in the Facebook comments.

And oh my god do I love the comedic timing of that arm. Dude was all whanging on it, then it finally raises on its own, he retreats in a draw, and only THEN, once it's fully raised, does it fall-apart. It didn't miss falling on him by much, either.

Anyway, yeah, pilots who have invested their whole career to get where they are and frequently live by irregular hours away from home and family for decades definitely should never be diagnosed and treated for any mental health issues. Carry on, FAA Aeromedical.
