Cool, more real-life-airline jet-sized ummm, airline jets, at the regionals!
When I saw "Mitsubishi Jets," I was thinking of those little business jets Mitsubishi built for awhile under contract from some US manufacturer. I couldn't figure out what the heck TSA would want those for, then I remembered about the MRJ and this thread made a lot more sense. :laff:
Ah, I stand corrected.
Didn't see the 2014 part. Remember at one point almost every US Airline was like "We gonna fly the Concorde to the moon yo!" and slapped 20 orders down.
Publicity Stunt
Wait wait wait. So youre telling me that youre not excited about more low paying jobs?

This is going to be fodder until 2014 ... HK says "accept a contract now or I give all the airplanes to GJ.... accept a contract now or we wont be able to afford the new planes ... accept a contract now or we wont be able to find financing for them." Then at 2014 the deal is going to evaporate because all it is a LOI and not a firm order.
I'm sorry if I was not understood... I mean to say that HK has no real desire to buy any MRJs... unless he can get them very very cheaply. I think its all for leverage both with pilots and other labor groups and with his codeshare partners.
He didn't buy those Embraers until he could get them for practically free, after all
