I mean, there’s also a thing about having to study hard, getting a degree, working a job. If I told you how many rich kids I grew up with who are just sitting around and hardly doing anything, and a compete 180 from their rich parents, it would probably blow your head.
But sure - I’m okay with that. I’m where I am because dad was rich. And he was a present parent, as was my mother. Oh the horror!

Let me make something clear: I really don’t like your implication that my cousin’s success is due to her looks with having absolutely no knowledge of who she is or what she’s like.
I don’t doubt that the female influencers you see are generally of a certain type. But it’s absurd to extrapolate the sample you see to an individual situation of which you have no knowledge.

Ah, yes they are. You would be surprised at the numbers being thrown around for endorsements. "Hi, I'm Rainier Luftwaffe and I only fly with Acme Aviation Products." coupled with a short video showing the "influencer" using the product during preflight or flight... it can net a few or several hundred thousand dollars to the influencer.

I have met corporate flight attendants that absolutely idolize this woman. Like previous generations did looking up to Princess Diana, or Oprah. If the Flightess has any sort of premium subscription program, they all follow it and will pay any membership fee to see how she would plate a Snickers bar and what flatware to go with it.
She's doing alright without having to work as a cabin crew member for NJ, FJ or any corporate department.

Those are written as fact. Those are her skills, education, etc.
“Plus I’m gonna venture a guess she’s got good genes.”
This is a guess, it’s literally written that way. Most people in the ad business who are on the front face do tend to be good looking.
No where did I say “she got what she got because of only her looks.”
She’s obviously an expert, competent in her field, and does well teaching others. Good for her. If you’re gonna sell a product on TV/internet, looks matter too, and she probably does well there.
I don’t see anything wrong with that. It was a compliment all around for her.

Fair enough, but your implication in this thread is that social media doesn’t offer realistic viable long term opportunities.
I don’t disagree that making a decent living off of social media advertising/influencing etc is challenging, but saying “Zmillers cousing succeeded because she’s competent” seems odd…isn’t that why most people succeed? If being smart and competent allows you to be successful in the social media realm, why are we telling @ChasenSFO that he doesn’t have a chance?

She is fantastic! She takes so much pride in her craft and is amazing to work with. I knew she was going to blow up as an influencer and a blogger. Heck, she was just on one of those news shows the other day. She also just did a trip the other after being off for a bit while she was pregnant.
I believe Chasen will resonate with young people. He has that type of personality. Look at what Donovan Batiste is doing on IG. I can see Chasen doing something similar, but in his own way.
