Call me jaded and skeptical, but until regional guys are no longer willing to step on the neck of the guy next to them to get ahead, I'm gonna have to disagree. As for ending "senior regional pilot groups," guys are still sticking around a sinking ship like Endeavor because they don't want to give up the seniority or QoL to sit reserve at a major. I don't see that ending any time soon unless we go through a cycle of several regional shut down/start ups. It's not even exclusive to pilots. I know two VERY senior FAs at Endeavor that would be good fits at Blue. One lives in MCO, the other in MIA. Neither want to give up the commute to JFK because of their QoL despite the fact the constantly complain about how they're treated by the company and how bleak the outlook is for their continued employment. They won't leave until the doors are slammed on them. I'm sure there are several senior CAs just as entrenched. Doubly so if they live in DTW or MSP.
Is there really anything wrong with that, though? They're just weighing the pros and cons and making the decision that the QOL is more important to them at this point. Seems rational to me. Different people have different priorities.
