I worked for LH at the time but have sat in fa and cockpit jumpseats on LH and Swiss while traveling on a zed fare. Try asking at the gate if the flight looks full, it's usually capt's discretion. Are they still doing YYZ-IAH? That was always long, as well as DCA-IAH and IAH-BOI.
