My office faces the LAS outbound traffic from 25R. Ive seen three UAL A320s/319s taking off and climbing out with their gear down. Im guessing theres some sort of company policy or they are doing a short LAX flight and need to burn some gas? Just curious, I haven't seen any other airlines do it.

Apparently A320s are offered with brake cooling fans and really need them too. I rode on a united flight where they left the gear down for like 3 minutes to cope with this...

Could it have been the same airplane?

Example, we had an airplane with the landing gear deferred down and the company had it doing ORD-SBN turns all day.

Its been different airplanes from what I can tell. Two in new UAL colors (1 A319 and 1 A320) and one in old colors.
