Think before you speak...

Thank god I fly for a place that subscribes to the ideals that FOs should be seen but not heard.

....except when it's a bad landing. Then it's "Hey Bob, how 'but you go and tell all the pax goodbye for me?"

Over at APC they said that's the buy the iraqi dinar guy. He's got quite the reputation apparently.... and not surprisingly.

That's a different guy. He's a total tool.

I've flown with this guy. He's nice, but loves to hear himself over the PA. Six PA's on a CDO to FAY at 1 am.

We have a guy out here who is on the PA four or five times on a 20 minute flight. Every flight. On an 8 landing day. It gets old in a hurry.

Ugh, that made me itchy just watching it. But hey, it's his ship, he can run it how he wants (within the limits, of course).

I was walking back to do my PDP and the FA asked "oh, are you going back to talk to the people?". I was like "huh, what?". Clearly someone had set that expectation on an airplane with more than :30 minute turns (with an airplane swap).

Was pretty common to see the bossman head to BE for a grip and grin on the ER. Of course, when you're onboard an hour prior to departure and you have two lackey FOs to do the heavy lifting, you have time on your hands. NB domestic? Not so much.

What @Derg said.

Having had an agent send the wrong people down to our airplane before, well...yeah. and all the other things too.

I'm quiet en route.

Heard a story of someone on board think they were going to San Jose Costa Rica, but we don't fly that far south. They didn't realize until the announcement they were in the wrong place

I can appreciate the guys enthusiasm, but yeah that was a bit much. Nobody was probably paying attention anyway. Most likely texting, Instagramming a wing view, or on Twitter.

Or taking a video and posting it on YouTube. Someone is always paying attention.

He's not a bad guy. He has been at his company a long time. I'm impressed he can keep enthusiasm that long! But this is probably more a function of boredom. He was always open to communicating, and ran a good safe operation. If this is the worst he does, I'm cool with it.

Someone in 3B really got my attention when he appeared to point his phone straight at me during my Pre-Departure PA. Turns out he was just taking a selfie. It's a shame, though. That was one of my best PAs.
