Yeah but a TFR is just that, temporary. They put that big white ring on there because of how common the TFR was, and how often it was violated. Lets' face it, Bush took alot of vacation!
One thing you should do before any flight, particularly cross countries, is check for TFRs, as they pop up everywhere and violating them can cost you your ticket. It is simple too...http://tfr.faa.gov/tfr2/list.html

I check before every flight that takes me away from my home airport (KTKI) Im not losing my ticket cause I was too lazy to check NOTAM's
