I received a call today from a lady with the FAA Operations Department. She said they needed to double check my dates of residence from 2004-2005. She said she didn't want anything to come back and bite us in the butt. I told her all my dates are correct. She said she was working on my conditional clearance and that it should be completed within the next two weeks. :rawk::rawk::rawk::rawk:

Negative. Except what lalexf posted about some meeting last week. Sounds like the terminal guys should get something soon.

Yea I called all week just to get the voicemail right away. I sent an email...no response I called some guy RM and still nothing. I think I'm gonna say screw it again....If I don't hear anything this week I'm going to see Hurricane Ike!!!!! After one of these storms I should be able to get back to a computer that has power and have a lovely FOL email waiting for me!!!!! I am happy to have found a new past time....storm chasing!!!

I wonder if the FAA management people decided to go on that 4 day work week...tried to get ANYONE at the FAA on Friday and no one would answer...

At 1115hr ET I received an e-mail asking if I had prior military experience (I don't) and to respond back to the e-mail which I did.
I was under the impression all my clearances were fine and all I was waiting on was a date (according to them).
I have heard of other people getting this e-mail, does that typically mean an Academy date is on its way? Maybe just wishful thinking.

Who was the email from? I have an email too but my work blocks me from reading them. I can only see the sender and subject. My email is titled something to the effect of TOL Corrected Copy.

The e-mail was from: Kevin.CTR.Walleman@faa.gov
The subject line was: TOL LISTING THIS OFFICE (4Sep08-Purge) CORRECTED COPY
All it was asking is if you have prior military experience and if you don't to replay back to Kevin at his e-mail address and say, "I do not have any prior military service.” If you did have experience there was some forms attached and instructions on what to fill out etc.

Thanks alot. I was hoping to get my FOL today. I was told I would get it last week. I hope this doesn't slow things down.
I got the email too. Hate to see the words "TOL" and "Purge" in the same subject line but I was happy to get something from the FAA to know that someone remembers me. Good luck everybody!
Man i dont know what the deal is with the way they are completing these applications. I didnt do the PEPC but I mailed in my packet the day of the MEM PEPC so I am kinda gauging my progress on u guys. I got that same email on July 21st so........ Its weird, I had called 2 weeks ago and they told me that they were still waiting on my MMPI psych exam to be evaluated and that all the "Dr's" were at a conference so no psych exams had been reviewed in a couple weeks. I have CS as my HR Rep by the way and I guess it goes without saying, not too helpful. Really hoping to hear something this week, i am more than willing to make a class date this month
Just curious, how do you know which HR Rep's are helpful and which ones aren't? Is there a thread on it or you just know from other posts? Hope you hear soon...

DT is quite pleasant but not so helpful. Though, I don't think it's his fault. There are only so many times you can tell people nothing before you stop answering the phone and stop replying to emails. I can understand the frustration they must be feeling. That said, I thought that their meeting 2 weeks ago was to assign all the facilities class dates so if that's the case why does he not respond now? I am thinking the people going to the class dates sooner will get the calls first but seeing as some of us have been waiting 15 months since applying and 12 weeks since PEPC that maybe a little responce to an email would be a polite courtesy. But that's just me.........waiting....waiting....waiting....::jeopardy background music::

Thanks but don't they just ask you who your POC is and then try to connect you to them??? I think they are all in charge of different areas aren't they? I don't know anymore....I have excuse after excuse for why I do not yet have a class date!!! I am done making excuses for them. If you will PM me with her number I will try and see what comes of it.
BTW thanks about my avatar. My friend is a photographer and she uses me as her practice model all the time so I have some cool professional pics for free. The ones that are "messed with" as I call it...you know different brush strokes and such, are the ones that were good shots but maybe a little blurry. It makes them a little more unique!
