*raises hand*, I know which one!I don’t think tail strikes really are much of a player. There’s Boeing :gasp: products that have much closer margins for striking the tail.
I really wish we had one of those or an L1011 on a stick in the parking lot instead of the 747. We had a way longer history with those two jets than our foray into 747's.

Personally, the MD-11 and the MD-10-30 (DC-10-30) are the best flying airplanes I've ever flown in my life! Gonna miss the MD when she's gone and I consider myself lucky to have flown her.
