I'm an aspiring pilot and I just want to know what would be one of the best regional airlines to work for. Any advice would be helpful.

I bet you will find at least someone for every regional that its the best.

If I was to go to a regional TODAY, I'd be pushing Mesaba. BigSky has been a steady "back up" for me. XJT is up there, NYC is really expensive though.

by the time you are ready to go to a regional everything will have changed, and ofcourse your oppinion will be different than mine.

I think that Republic Airways, ASA, or Express Jet would be good regionals to work for. I would like to stay east of the Mississippi, have nice equipment to fly, a salary that I can survive on, and most importantly, good QOL.

Actually, there's not enough information to answer the question.

What are the top five most important things to you in terms of bases, pay, quality of life, work rules and advancement?

Dude, don't listen to anyone else. Listen to me: You can get on at Mesa with, like, a hundred hours or something. Then, six months later, you can get a job flying a badass A-320 for Skybus!

It's awesome! I hear they even give their new hires free mirrored aviator sunglasses to hang on their epaulets.

Wise man once told me "The best regional today may not be the best regional tomorrow"

I have my reasons, 'lanta being a big plus in the geography dept, and one of them being an unofficial bridge for a certain airline being another major reason!

But, it's all a pipe dream till I get that green light!

You and others with personal reasons/opinions to choose one over the other is all good. But in the general scheme of things.......
