Swayne coming to a 121 near you

Kind of meaningless under our current situation.
Disagree. Dude needed a wake up call. Over at 'voy he'd be over at HQ having remedial training on the media policies long ago. We had guys released for lesser offenses on social media.

Don't worry. He will be allowed to keep his job and then get to be a sim instructor. Seems to be the PSA way of doing things. People have done much worse and still have their jobs.

I got totally lost reading this. I don't see a comparison in doing an illegal drug 70 years ago to doing video voiceovers to rap songs about shooting people with my uniform on. Then the following day post a picture in front of what should be my potential employer and act as the brand imagine to one of the largest airlines. That's like saying in 50 years I don't see pilots wearing uniforms anymore and I can show up for casual Fridays.

Fail to see this comparison.
Wait, is that what he did?!

Moon, if you browse these forums, for the love of god stop posting videos. I mean, I love watching them while I eat popcorn, but you are going to sabotage your career doing this stuff. If I were an interviewer and you were across the table, you’d have an incredibly steep mountain to climb to convince me that you deserve a job at my airline. Probably not a smart idea to describe an aircraft incident you were involved in. Even less smart to talk about it while it’s an active situation. And less smart to do it in uniform. Aye carumba.

At the wholly owned he’s at, he already has a guaranteed AA job. At least pre-Covid.

Hitting a tug and the next day sitting in uniform and telling facebook world you've been removed from line flying.................

Well, in his defense, as he stated in the video, he wasn't driving, they hit it on the CA side, and the marshaller apparently saw it about to happen and didn't signal a stop. I wouldn't blame my FO if I had been driving in this situation.

Well there’s no thin ice anymore, considering no major is hiring for years to come.

That actually means there's more thin ice than ever. With every airline overstaffed it's an excellent time to find reasons to fire some of the excess employees. With how much trouble regionals including Moon's have had staffing before the pandemic, they probably hired a lot of pilots they would never have considered before 2015 or so, and now they might be looking for a reason to fire them.
