Does that include assistants or do they hire everyone as an assistant and then upgrade?

What does an assistant dispatcher do? Is it basically a fancy term for a trainee or does an assistant have a distinct job function?

you'll sit with a Dispatch Trainer and pretty much 'run' the desk. the more comfortable you get, the more the Trainer will let you be alone
