SWA Landing gear collapse at LGA

Beer + college football + acting a fool = what ur supposed to do

I'm always extremely disappointed at opposing teams fans while at their stadiums.

Better or worse now that the LBK is wet? When I was there we had to go out to the Strip. Blew my mind when I visited my kid sister (class of 2012) and saw a liquor store over by Rosa's

It was dry when I left in 07. I went to the same stores on the strip as my dad went to in the 1960's when he was there going through flight school at Reese. My friends tell me the strip is shut down ..... Mr. Pinkys biggest contributors were the churches :)

Tech fans are pretty awful. But not as awful as Ohio State fans.

:)
At least u remember the tortillas! They were being phased out when I started in 02'
And we are passionate fans that make u hate ur life as a visiting fan!

I thought Pitt was a bad place to go. We were a tune up team for these guys so I really didn't understand the hostility. Then again we went to the other side of town and played Robert Morris. They were polar opposites and I actually gained two friends from that team.
Did u give ur new friends gum?

Yeah, that was a right of passage in Lubbock, although it sucked driving all the way out there. Those were hands down the best years of my life out there.

I'm in no place to talk - I stormed the field after the A&M game in 2001 and got caught up in that whole debacle.

I was a hack, but yes. I paddled the Cheat River almost every weekend for a few months out of the year and then did some trips farther afield.

There was a lowlevel training route that went to Kingwood. I remember flying south down the river from Cheat Lake and looking up to wave at the folks at the overlooks....and down at the sunbathers. ;)

Contacted the runway in a non-landing worthy attitude. Captain put it there.

Or something like that.

Any word on what exactly happened? Seems pretty obvious now that the CA did something not kosher.

The Captain took the controls from the FO at less than 400 feet. Also (I believe) the FO was an AirTran transition and the Captain was chastising the FO and wanted to 'show him' how they 'do things' at SWA.

Furthermore the Captain was the number one avoided Captain to fly with at Southwest.
