Spirit Furloughing

Ok.

Do you think other airlines walk hand-in-hand with labor and don’t salivate over this?

I have news for you.

I remember the night his airline locked out their rampers in Seattle because the union asked for too much money. Oh that was a fun time to be a gate agent for said airline…

They really have the company by the cajones. Pay and work rules that are among the best in the industry and, whenever there’s grumblings about forming a union, the company sweetens the pot a little.

It’s been this way since before I was born.

Hilariously, CC’s quip wasn’t the slam it was supposed to be.

DL’s work rules as a gate agent even back when I did it were generally better than most everywhere else I had been (was my 5th airline as a customer service agent). There were issues sure but I got treated way better than I did at a certain Seattle based company, though my view might be jaded from being furloughed by an email that I got two days after I had read the schedule bid without my name on it while working for them.

Hell, my wife’s 23 years at DL in ACS have been pretty good to her.

I don’t know. I also don’t know any other unionized airline where pilots are the only union force. How much does Delta spend per year to keep unions off property, especially among the FA ranks?

For as much as Delta claims to be a great employer, they sure do stink when it comes to unions outside of the pilot group.

Not correct. The dispatchers are also unionized.

“Sugar”, as my aunt Othene would say, “this is where you’re supposed to stop talking.”

I was being polite. To answer your question for real? Here it is: the other airline labor groups had a pair, and got a union voted in. Delta spends enough money on anti-labor material (advertisements like PS5), and has enough KoolAid effect to keep unions out of FAs and other groups outside of pilots/dispatchers.

If you don’t know, it’s time to recognize your role in this particular conversation. If you don’t have domain expertise, every declarative statement adds to the noise and drives falsehoods.

All you know about Delta is what every other member of JC is already painfully aware of.

They ignored your prom’posal and danced with everyone else but you.

If you’re unable to offer NK pilots assistance, don’t be part of the “static”

You confuse me with someone who cares. I don’t. I just called out what is, and what has been in terms of union work groups at Delta versus other unionized carriers. You just don’t like what you perceive as mud slung at your shop.

Let me do you a favor and uninvite you from the thread since you’re unable to take a hint.

Ehh, I’m feeling more charitable so I rescinded that.

Look for opportunities to help our brothers at NK.
