10% (of gross 2024 wages) proffy coming next month, the Air Line is doing something right, you have to admit.

Sorry... thread drift...

For how much money the Air Line made, and the specific 10%/20% triggers in your PWA, 10% W2 is kind of meh when you consider the pylots were the only labor group to actually negotiate a profit share.

Not that I'd be complaining...i think we are at less than 1% this year, but our new overlords friends are probably going to be right around where the Air Line is... and they don't even have to spend all that money polishing the extra row of buttons on their blazer.

Why polish a button that stairs down at the ground to be fair…

I like to think that a chunk of our profit sharing ‘love’ goes toward unionizing other work groups. Kudos to ALPA for sending reminders each year that it wouldn’t exist without the efforts of organized labor.
Are your shoulders hurting yet?

I love to hear people complain like this.
Considering who posted it....

All y'all need to get on team sweater and ditch the blazer.
Bro we can’t even get seasonal hats let alone ditch the blazer. We had single breasted blazers for ONE year 😭 Oh well. It is what it is. I’ve come to like the fit of the double as more comfortable anyways.

I do believe ALPA needs stronger education on this.

We’re one of the few labor groups to look down on “big labor” and below wing people, but oh no, if the connecftion time is one minute less than the contractual, “Oh no, the huge manatee”

Organized labor is why we have weekends, holidays, sick leave, enforceable work rules, the ability to say “no” and health care.

Not because pilots are the best of the best of the best and we fly a perfect lomcovak during an airshow. Our unionized forefathers put down the blood, sweat and often times their lives in order to create a labor movement in the United States that we’ve let erode because we let “money” redefine unions as something “the poors” do to avoid going to work because they’re lazy.

It’s largely just ‘us’ left and most of us make a whole lot more than the average laborer so we will remain under threat for some time because we’re disorganized and fail to support non-airline labor.

Your shop does a fantastic job of keeping unions off property (outside of pilot group). And yes it is true, one can buy a PS5 instead of paying union dues. :)
