Social Media and the job hunt.

In the virtual airline world, how many virtual pilots actually put on O2 above two five oh for virtual pee breaks? In some virtual airlines online, there are some virtual pilots who don't take the 02 mask out and some who take it out and leave it on the side or on their virtual lap.

In the old virtual airline world (back in the Microsoft flight Simulator 1983 to 2002), some online virtual pilots would read virtual newspapers and magazines in cruise. Since the advent of virtual internet, I guess I don't see much difference between the 80s and 90s to today, it seems the same virtual things are done except back when it used to be on paper it's now on glass. So I don't know just how much normalization of deviance that counts for in the virtual world.

At all my virtual airlines (UA AA DL) I put the mask on for the CA (or kid's) walk of Shame.

In today's virtual world, virtual management is capable of accessing login data from the virtual wifi provider and can tell when someone is virtually surfing.

True, but in most cases of virtual airlines the virtual pilots are using virtual logins of different names and passwords than their own virtual name.

Why is it so virtually hard to just follow the damn virtual rules?

In a virtual jumpseat, on the internet I saw one virtual CA give a smackin' to a virtual FO for using a virtual iPad to browse the virtual news. Said virtual CA then proceeded to read the same news source in physical print form, obtained from the virtual hotel. Is there a virtual difference? Neither is really following the virtual rule technically speaking.

As a passenger I virtually could not care less what you're doing up front as long as one of you is awake and paying attention.

This. And its only gonna get more NORMAL to deviate. My captain buddy at alaska says its already been happening there. Generation ME has become of working age and infiltrated cockpits. lol. have fun out there :)
Then there are those of us who will grind whatever grit the mill requires.

It is not normal nor right.

Tell me, how do they obtain your IP address or necessary identifying information?

Easy as pie, if they wanted to, trust me.

Plus, if you're on a company device, they literally see everything you do.

Had a GoGo rep tell me that they can pinpoint which seats are logging in by which cell is activated. They can also tune the network so the signal is weak up front.

Probably over-hyping their own product; Gogo is garbage of an inflight internet. We're ditching them soon for fleet wide satellite-based Wifi which is 100x better. Currently ETOPS planes have ViaSat for allowing Wifi on flights to/from Hawaii. I don't know if that's the company chosen going forward as two airlines become one, but it's going to be a satellite-based Wifi company.

Oh cool, you're getting satellite! Welcome to the Twenty-Teens! :)
