Although IAH has been shrinking already over the past year, management sent out an email officially announcing it will continue to shrink and possibly close after 2016. If you want to be based in Houston then I suggest looking elsewhere.

Someone told me we didn't even know we wouldn't be flying into Mexico from IAH anymore until we got the schedules from mainline. Who the heck knows what's gonna happen?

You'll never have a DTW base, its too easy for them to DH you all down from MSP. Is there even anyone at OO that would want DTW?

We have a couple guys that live near, but DTW would go even more junior than MSP is. It sure would be nice to have a bag room there though.

For the most part any new base is a good base [for some]. West of Mississippi usually better around these parts. YMMV.

There are a number who are lobbying for it, but it doesn't sound like it's very likely. T Gallo said if they ever do it they'll go big and right now it doesn't warrant it.

That's surprising. I guess I figured more people there at OO were interested in west coast flying, doesn't make sense to be at OO and want the eastern US flying.
