Skywest Questions

Actually it's even better. Deadhead to Denver. DEN- COS overnight. COS-DEN, deadhead back to ORD.

And I actually don't care at all. Just part of the business.
Holy Moly commuting Batman! Seriously what took you to SCC? Since no one actually lives there.

Sooooo, let me get this straight. Skywest wants 'retirees' to do repo flights but are deadheading crews from ORD to DEN to do COS turns?

I don't think even Compass is this ineptly managed.

Skywest has lots of E175 reserve FOs in ORD...

Our Planes, Our Pilots! Their paint, their passengers, their schedules!

SGU will get this eventually, they will argue that we are too short on line pilots, and we always will be, because they will bid more flying or stop hiring and keep the staffing thin because it's worked so far. Let's just hope the student council get's something good for it, like Starbucks gift cards.

Hrmph. Not sure what "agreement" there is to be reached about the whole non SKW pilots flying 91 flights. Our planes, our pilots. I don't even think it should be a question when we have reserves like myself going months without touching an airplane.
Literally weeks without flying, or flying like a mad man for the first 3 weeks of the month and then sitting with 72 hours of credit while everyone else gets calls.

Wouldn't mind a few 91 repos at that point....

This really should be a non starter.

I'm pretty senior reserve now, not counting on anything in March either. Bleh. Won't even be current before too long.

I treat my reserve days like days off. Plan things I need to do, play too much BF4.... Some people must wait around dressed and in the car, but not here that's for sure.

I was able to pick up a little flying when all the open time was posted. I figure that will be the only flying that I do for the month. Hopefully with the new planes coming on, and LAX opening, we should be able to hold a junior ORD line by June. Or at least be able to be used as a reserve. Otherwise, I am going to have to take up BF4 as a part time job... or have I already....

Hell, none of the open time is on days I can even pick up. Sucky.

Enjoy this while it lasts.

(REQUIRED MIN LINE VALUE 90:00)

I hope that has a lot of soft time to get to that number.
We get lucky every once in a while. 105:04 credit. Block 87:36 (and that's not counting if I underblock any of my next 7 flights).

Still way too much work. Then again, I'm on the understaffed jet, not the heavy.

Can you drink alcohol on those days? If the answer is no....it's not considered a day off
