At the end of the day, I have no ego in this game.
Some CAs make you feel like a worthless pile of crap
Just a word of advice. It's been my experience that, that happens not only in aviation. But life, if you allow it to happen.
I can't relate with any aviation experiences, and not trying to be internet tough guy. But there have been times, where I had to do this:
I would think in an airliner traveling at greater speeds than 500 mhp, if someone is bullying someone. And one can't easily redirect or deescalate, the situation. A re-caulation, in anyway appropriate or necessary, might be necessary for all involved to help, restart learning, and end the hostile environment.
Meh it rolls like water off my back. There will always be CAs like that and usually they don't mean to in my experience. You just can't take it personally and life is good.
I have many things to learn still in life, and doing that might be one of them. And maybe honestly the hardest. I normally respond first, with snark filled passive-aggression. After that it's time to tell someone to back the f-up.
I just don't understand how in a teaching environment, some want to make themselves feel big, by making you feel small.
African or European?I'm going to grill my FOs some day.
"What is your favorite color?"
"What is the average airspeed velocity of a laden swallow?"
"Well you have to know these sort of things when you are captain."African or European?

Ah yes, right. Probably why that's one of the more commonly missed questions on the ATP written exam."Well you have to know these sort of things when you are captain."
I don't know why this bothers me as much as it does, but...I'm going to grill my FOs some day.

Wow. I bet you're a joy to fly with!I don't know why this bothers me as much as it does, but...

Oh, and if you type the question in to google, apparently the answer is 11 m/s.

They did ask in the interview to explain how you go ac to DC and back.
Rush stage - security shoves you back.
I got the job! Thank you to everyone here on the forums who helped me and sorry for annoying those with complicated questions I didn't need to know! Turns out my interviewer flew the ERJ so I didn't get to show off my CRJ knowledge all that much.I still got some questions wrong and got some real curveballs but it was a very relaxed, professional and honestly fun interview.
I picked the CRJ and will be getting a call for class dates but most likely the beginning of January. Thanks again guys, I can't tell you how happy I am!
Still have 200 hours to complete so figured January might be the smarter route to give myself a break when I'm done.Congrats! January seems like a long way away - is that by choice?
Re: 91.175 interview questions, did you write out all of 91.175 A through M?
Thanks

She only had me write down the electrical system and turbine engine. Later on when we talked about approaches and looked at a plate she asked me what do we need to land. I pretty much just went down the entire 91.175 and explained the red side row bars and terminating bars. I don't think they want it studied verbatim but rather than you just understand the reg.
