Was it common knowledge that SLC was going to be a C Series base for Delta? I don't really pay attention to these things. Does that our 175 base won't be expanding too much?

A lot of people think that the 175 is replacing the CRJ flying here. Which is true, but a lot is also just going back to mainline. They say it's due to the airport construction but I doubt it. I don't think the 175 will be as large as they hoped for.

Then again I just read avg 1200 miles, so maybe not a lot of regional routes.

ORD/MSN/OKC/AUS/DFW/SAT/IAH/MCI are all done by us. I could see the C Series doing at least half of those. Hopefully ORD, more seats when I go back to commuting.

Well good news for those on the outside wondering, auto notification has been removed for trips that you have not proffered for. So if you proffer you will be auto notified (rightfully so) and if you haven't you fall under the old reserve rules of being notified via phone or online. I for one am happy with the change. Took a few months but glad this issue was resolved.

Hey @Autothrust Blue since you had a big hand in writing the original rules (or perhaps were the author) and obviously know more about this than anyone else, how about you actually enlighten those of us living under these rules rather than just continue offering only vague, perhaps somewhat misleading quips?

I don’t have the memo in front of me, but IIRC CS can still assign trips up to 5 days out such that even if you didn’t proffer but are inside of a RAP, you can still be notified in the traditional way for a trip that falls outside of your RAP on day one of a work block. You just can’t be auto-notified.

Well the difference here is that while you are technically correct (as I’m sure you almost always are) you overlook the major complaint us perma-reserves had. I’m on LC tomorrow and had a trip with no RAP greater than 5 days out. After report I went to my last assigned trip knowing that the earliest I’d be forced to go in was 1200 on Sunday (World Cup Final!) instead of checking my schedule the day before and discovering that I now have a 0500 show. Won’t have to answer the phone from “the poor schmuck” until midnight.

I guess this shows why many of us are better off not having you draft any more rules.
