Is it wrong of me to kinda laugh when Skywest has to say "Yeah, they've got higher rates....until you count unions dues." Sounds to me like management is playing to the "Yeah, but it costs 1.95% of my paycheck" crowd. They also like to trot out that ALPA didn't get a raise on 1st year CAs for ASA. Okay, fine. At least they concentrated on the important pay rates instead of the "street captain" rate. I'd rather fly for an airline that grows their talent from the right seat and promotes them into the left seat than one that has an inflated rate for the left seat to bring in hired guns.
