Skywest' newest First Officer!

Re: Skywest\' newest First Officer!

Congradulations!! It is really gratifying once you've made the summit of that mountain you've spent months/years trying to climb. If I were you, I'd feel like I was on top of the world!

Re: Skywest\' newest First Officer!

Way to go Omar!

Unless I am mistaking you for someone else, I remember you posting about your instrument check ride. It seems like it was just recently! Now you are already a pro-pilot! Great job!

Re: Skywest\' newest First Officer!

It seems just a short while ago I posted that it would be a pleasure to see you succeed- and it surely is. You've got the kind of attitude that gets you places in this world. Congratulations!

Re: Skywest\' newest First Officer!

Woo hoo! Good job man. Good luck trying to do observation flights while you're training, especially if you're training on the EMB120. The summer will be some kind of fun with the new weights. Good luck!

jojo, the sim eval is done in an ATC-810.

Re: Skywest\' newest First Officer!

Congrats Omar! I can remember some of your posts last year about how stressed you were as a CFI, trying to make ends meet. You were saying how hard your life was, and maybe even thinking of giving up. I'm so glad that you stuck with it. You really are an example of .how if you try hard enough, your dreams will come true.

Re: Skywest\' newest First Officer!

Re: Skywest\' newest First Officer!

Hey way to go man. I got a call for an interview with skywest but unfortunately I was right in the middle of RJ ground school at mesa. I Had to decline the offer. I had wanted to work out of SLC eventually but I am based in phoenix and just finished G/S today so it worked out pretty well for me. Life is pretty nice down in scottsdale and I think ill eventually move down to the phoenix area permanently eventually. Congrats though skywest is a great company to work for.. Enjoy your time between now and ground school for sure. Once you hit the classroom theres lots of work to be done Dont study a thing you will have plenty of that to do in a few weeks

.. congrats once again

Re: Skywest\' newest First Officer!

Thanks a lot everyone. All this mushy stuff makes me feel like I really accomplished something. After all, not only do we look for self gratitude, but also the gratitude and acceptance of our peers. Thanks again!
