Sierra West Airlines Hiring Lear FO's

Hey guys(and gals),
Long time reader, first time poster. I work in So Cal at an FBO and a co-worker ran into one of the owners of Sierra West Airlines. She told him they were hiring Lear 35 FO's out of El Paso, TX. Looks like as long as you have a multi-commercial you are OK. I emailed to inquire about any other positions as I can't relocate at this time, but the only openings are in El Paso. I only have 340TT and she said to contact them again if i was interested and I quote "We have a great program for someone looking to build time, earn ratings, etc..." Here is a link to apply. http://sierrawestairlines.com/careers.html
Hope this helps someone out. Cheers.

I'll be sending in my app and resume tomorrow, thanks!

I am still low time but it is worth a shot, hoping to move to TX this summer either way.

I don't know anything about this company so they may be reputable, but this whole thing is a red flag.

"earn ratings" !?

Agreed. That's employer code for, "Our pay and benefits are so low that we figure we can only attract the ultra-low time". I don't mean that as an insult -- it's reality. Plus, a Lear 35 will eat your lunch if you're not careful. I'd be really hesitant about putting someone with no turbojet experience into one. Be careful guys.

If you do a search on here you will find out what most of you are saying... some people may want to do it. If you read those other posts, the pay does appear to be low and you work a lot, but someone would probably like to get in the right seat of a Lear 35. The also have Metros and Lear 55s I think. I know its legit(the job opening at least, lol), I was in contact with one of the owners, its not spam. Again, take it for what its worth, just trying to help someone out.

The job exists but I wish it didn't. $250 a week.
I just ran across an open position for Lab Chemist. Min hard requirements: BS degree + 4 yrs relevant experience....$16-20K. I was making double that with a wet chem degree 30 yrs ago as a Jr punk asst.

I know three people who work/worked there. If your interested I'll put you in touch. Let's just say that I went 4 months looking for a position before landing my current gig and I never took advantage of having friends who would help get me on board.

My sent items are messed up and don't show sent items, don't want to sent multiple PMs. Would appreciate if you can get back to me.

Maybe $500 a DAY! Thats what the position is really worth... 250 hour wonders with a wet commercial shouldnt be flying a Lear Jet IMO

No doubt. There is a reason that some companies that don't fly Lears look at a LR-Jet type as a piece of gold. It's not hard to fly, but don't get slow (I only have about 45 hrs of right seat time, but it's something that has been DRILLED into my head).

Anyone apply? How much flying per month? Remember slave labor is cutting our own throats

I didn't apply and I got through the 1st round hahaha. I had only inquired and they sent me and about 12 other people an email for the 1st interview. It said they were hiring Lear Capts and FO's as well as FO positions for Falcons(10's I think) and the Metros. $250 a week is criminal, I'm sorry for opening a can of worms, but I thought it could have been of some benefit.
