Almost 2 years and my red wings are still going strong. I'll probably send them off next summer to be resoled but so far so good. I'm also considering a pair of boots from Frye. Anyone ever try any of theirs?
This is pretty much how I picture airline pilots talking about any clothing.
Speaking of shoes:

I like those. Not a bad price either. Is it a big difference from the boot and a plain shoe? The ankle boot isn't very comfortable for me over long periods of time.Kind of late to the party.
Rockport essential detail.
Waterproof, airport friendly, comfortable, quality for all under $100.

I have a pair of these Blondo boots. Most comfortable thing I have ever worn. There are quite a few pilots up here wearing them. They aren't slick on ice, and they zip up on the side making them easy to get on and off.

I usually just take them off, so not sure if they set off the metal detectorAirport friendly? I'd like to find a pair of nice Roper style winter boots. I love my Justins, but a little thin for the next few months.

Wives in Gig love them too...something about 'real men'I hear boots are great for any occasion. Uniform, riding horses, job fairs...very universal.
Anything with a straight leather sole is treacherous in ice or snow. Ariats are rubber and as good as anything else for grip and better than shoes if walking through snow any deeper than a couple inches. Are cowboy boots that great on ice/snow?
