Shoes

Boots are the highest form of dress shoes money can buy. Anything formal like a wedding, I'd feel naked without boots. I just don't like them in the summertime at work when it's super hot.

Shoes? Why?

And for God's sake, regardless of what you get, throw some shoe polish on them from time to time. Hell, most airports got the shoe shine stand. For the price of one Starbucks, you can get them done up nice.
I was going to say something smart about polishing hat brass as a rejoinder, but yes, this.

Speaking of, I need to shine my shoes.

Eccos.

I have had the same pair of plain black lace up Oxfords for around 17 years. They were a little bit expensive, but they look as good now as they did the day I bought them. I am on the second set of soles.

Just like quality headsets, spending a little bit extra on comfortable high quality shoes is worth the money in my opinion.

I wear loafers, of all brands. Definitely more comfortable than your classic hard leather dress shoes or cowboy boots. I love cowboy boots when I'm off work but idk if I could wear them 14+ hours a day. The loafers I have now are a pair of Rockport and not only are they nice but they're comfortable and will only run you about $50-90

I wear boots when not flying, but never Ariats. And reason you like them over others?
Carbon fiber shank. I don't think Ariat has caught on that their boots are security friendly, and hugely popular with pilots or they'd make them even more expensive than they already are.

And, the Roper style boot looks like a conservative dress shoe when worn under uniform pants, yet keeps your feet warm and dry in the winter when trudging through snow and deice fluid on your walkaround. Or, on those times when you go "off-roading" in search of that perfect hole in the wall bar, burger joint, etc. on the overnight.

I've got a pair of custom Red Wings. Set me back about $400. Most comfortable and best made shoe I've ever owned. I'm buying another pair for casual wear next month.
