Seoul, Korea Incheon

As MikeD wrote in tithe country the population remembers the 1950's and is generally very friendly to Americans. On several occasions I was invited to sit down to lunch with a farmer who spoke no english. Another thing that is different that you may see if you get out of the city are the "happy mounds"- the Korean graves scattered about the country.

If you wanna get a haircut, avoid the ones with the double barber poles. It's not really a barber shop, if you get what I mean.

Haha I have heard of those from a friend and the double barber poles are literally on almost every street corner. Well I leave today so hopefully it turns out to be a really nice trip. Also this is my first time doing the hostel thing. The place I am staying at got really good reviews so hopefully it will be a good time.

Have fun. If you get stressed out go to a jjimjilbang for a night while over there if you've got a korean showing you around.

This place is great! I have done just about everything you all have recommended except for the bullet train ride to Busan! I still need to do the DMZ tour before I leave but it has been rainy here like all hell. I checked the PC cafe's which are sweet. For first timers coming here, the subway system is huge, but it is easy to navigate and VERY cheap and probably the cleanest subway system I have ever seen.

I made the mistake of coming here during typhoon season too so it's been raining for the past 2 days.

I already have over 100 pictures uploaded to my Facebook, and still about 80 more or so to upload. I can't find any of those jjimjilbang places. Where did you go?
