RAH E190 Rates

Someone is actually comparing a bottom feeding regional to Fedex. This is why people say don't get an aviation degree. Also pilots like Trip7 don't really help much with their mentality of doing a favor towards management in hopes for rewards. Who determines that 21 dollars is a good wage for a piot? You do, not the company. They have tons of cash to buy two struggling airlines but they can't raise your salary by 5 or 10 dollars more an hour? They can easily pay 40-60K for FOs, but they don't because they don't need to. Keep waiting for that reward. But don't worry the cycle will continue, about the time RAH figures out these rates, is about the time the Mitusubishi jets will arrive to replace them, capitalism at it's finest right?

Well put! We are each others biggest pain. And thus the lack of such payrates. However it seems like a lot of the blame has been casted on those who have joined the industry in the past 5 years or there about. Saying they have brought down the industry, casued the out sourcing etc.... It just seems like this, "cycle" started well before these pilots from the last 5 years or so and there's some anger towards that group that should not be there. Instead it should be placed on those whom came before, those whom in management decided to allow so many RJs, those whom allowed scope to get reduced to 86 seat regionals etc....

But again, before people throw spears - where's PCL's contract?

Sent back because it was sub-standard. We're already flying 76 seaters for far too little as it is. Now, unless I'm mistaken in how things go, RAH isn't gonna stop flying the 190s while negotiations are stalled, so the 99 seat (or 100 -1 "inop" seat) 190s are gonna be flown at the same FO rates as the 50 seater? If this is false, PLEASE correct me, because every thing I've seen is indicating that.

THAT was the point of the thread.

All:

Geez, some of you guys just can't take a FRACKING HINT, Starbuck! Sheesh!

Have a professional debate, but lets leave the FI attitude at FI. Otherwise, I could propose a merger of the two sites and save myself a boatload of dedicated server costs and regain my free time.

It's all about more money, more time off and the sooner we all accept this as a universal truth, the better off we'll be.

Yep. That's right. Point of the thread well taken and beaten to death. WE'RE EFFING WORKING ON IT!!!!!

That's it. I refuse to read this crap any more. I'm just going to do my bloody job and go home. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the lav, looking at the Swedish men dance naked.

I see it's now the case that we can't even discuss how the changes at company A would impact the rest of the companies involved in the same segment of an industry as company A.

I'm with you Doug. Honest I am. I just can't sit back and let someone of these guys drag my friends name through the mud, just because they are jealous that he got hired at a low time and they weren't invited to an interview.

Other than that, I'd like to say .....freight rules and regionals drool. :D

I'm done.

:yeahthat::yeahthat:

No matter what you fly, you are still flying a metal tube called - "Airplane". The reason I want to fly a bigger airplane is "more money". Coolness does not pay my bills. If someone at my local area pays me reasonable wage and fly 172 around, I would more than happy to do that. it is an airplane. :p

Probably slightly uncalled for making fun of scouting like that. Although I do agree as an eagle scout myself, that Marcus doesn't exemplify, in this thread, the values that scouting tries to instill in americas youth. And for that Marcus you should be ashamed. Its one thing to be an ass, lots of people are, buy to justify it because you are an eagle scout is unacceptable.

Please. You don't even know me and you come out blasting my values? I don't need some 15 year old boy lecturing me about values. There was a side debate about RJ courses. And I was making a point that there are other ways to prove you are a capable and trainable candidate than RJ courses. Taking stuff out of context and calling me an ass is not the values of an Eagle Scout as you so "eloquently" put it. You should be ashamed. Completely ashamed.

Also, Loyalty, that's something you should be familiar with. If someone is on a public forum dragging your friend's name in the mud falsely it would be the LOYAL(follow me here?) thing to do to speak up. So it would be smart of you to get off you high horse there in " Bang'er and Bah Habah" and get your facts straight before attacking someone's values.

So I post a picture, and I'm making fun of it?

Completely agree. Nothing wrong with posting a picture. Apparently Oldtimepilot has appointed himself JC judge of character and value. He needs to find better use of his time up there in "Bang'er and Bah Habah"

You realize that if you try to merge the websites that your going to open up an integration war. I want DOH!!!! Those FI guys need to be stapled to the bottom of the JC list, because we're the more professional mature forum! The FI guys are just a bunch of regional sissies stealing JC's airplanes!

Marcus, OTP may be older than you in fact, and even if he isn't, he sure as hell acts like he is.

It's this sort of personal attacks (as in, I don't have anything useful to say so I'm going to call you a little boy or "son") that make threads like this completely useless.

The moral of the story is that right now, through a seat MEL, Republic crews are getting boned on payrate. They are trying to fix it through a grievance (which if there process is anything like ours will take years) and through the contract negotiations. The issue is that, a large part of their pilot group (just like a large part of most other pilot groups, Majors included) is happy to just fly their (big shiny) plane and doesn't give a #### about the rest of the industry.

Dough, I enjoyed your and MikeD's little back and forth, but honest question mang... your MEC just screwed the pooch BIG TIME with caving on the number of RJs in exchange for nothing. Your Chairman has National aspirations and (sort of like the MEC chairman where I'm at) is more interested in a National agenda than a local one. What are YOU doing about it beyond getting on a web board (not this one) and raising hell?

Every sector of the industry has it's issues right now. Whether it's wet behind the ear newbies who think they know everything and really don't know anything but are happy to fly around in a big shiny jet or senior people at mainline who keep pulling up the ladder to protect their seat and semblance of pay or even burned out bitter mid level guys who are trying to make the jump and can't (because there is no place to jump to) and tend to bring everybody around them down (yes, I'm looking in the mirror here), the is a profession in major need of saving and frankly I don't know if it's going to happen or not.

You will not get an argument out of me at all on this.

That was the equivalent of "buffalo wings are good!" - Uhh, yeah! Sho' 'nuff!

On the last question, geez I guess that's the worst kept secret on the internet, eh? :)
