PUBNAT3

That's not entirely ideal. If I end up with 3 possibilities, I'd rather pick one myself that have them do it for me.

I know... none of it is really ideal, but it's whatever they feel like doing. Maybe it'll work out differently this time. We haven't seen a panel that included multiple PUBNATs.

We have seen people with TOLs from PUBNAT1 receive an offer for PUBNAT2, so you can have more than one offer. It just hasn't happened yet from one announcement/panel.

I am considering dropping my PUBHI application tomorrow. I am on the list for PUBNAT 3 and PUBNAT 4 so I have four different centers chosen. I want a center and only want Hawaii if I can't get one. But I'm sure one of the four will take me, and I don't want to lose the chance and get Hawaii instead.

I'm sure that they'll use whichever process takes the most time, is most frustrating and makes the least sense.

Which is exactly why I'm thinking about dropping PUBHI tomorrow so I get picked from PUBNAT3 or 4 (I hope!!!!).

I really only applied to PUBHI anyway because I thought it would be reviewed after PUBNAT3. Sort of a contingency plan, if you will.

You know what they say when you assume things. I wouldnt drop anything if I were you.

I'm just going to call the number listed on the announcement. If they say that they will only give one interview offer, I'll drop PUBHI. If they can't do it, hopefully they can put me through to someone who can.

I know. But at the same time, I don't want to give up a shot for a type facility I really want for one I don't want as much. Depending on what aviation careers says tomorrow, I'll make a decision.

Hooray for all who made the list. Any one know how long we are to wait now? I heard till the end of the month.

Congrats to all who made the list! It seems as tho maybe everyone is on this but I don't know if that's true. Here's to getting picked up on Monday then to the PEPCs "CHEERS"

Greetings all ...

First off congrats to all those on the referral list - now we're getting somewhere!

In other news:
Just had a great tour at Bangor Tower (up/down fac.) up here in Maine. The ATM was extremely friendly and helpful and I figured I would share some valuable information I got from him:

-First off, and this is something we already know, he agrees with the speculation that panels will meet Monday.

-For those of you thinking of doing a standard interview process, I spoke with some recent hires as well as the ATM and they indicated this will tack on up to an extra 6 months before the hiring date. If you can swing it to get out to a PEPC, it is highly recommended.

-After the panels meet, the ATM's receive a list of all those selected (regardless of location) as well as the duty locations they have been selected for. For those of us that have a strong desire to know as soon as possible, a phone call to your nearest ATM might not hurt.

Not a whole lot of info, but info none the less.

-Joe

That's really good to know. Is the ATM the facility manager? I guess maybe I'll try to call them on Monday the 19th, hopefully they'd have it by then.

My dream facility just called me direct and started to ask me a whole bunch of questions about my status in the military and how would I go about transferring units. Very random.
