Mr. Micki told me otherwise. Since the FAA is usually accurate with the info they give us i sorta believe it:sarcasm:

but man i really hope they do. i went into this 7th level of hell thinking it would take maybe 6 months. i was wrong:rolleyes:

but if pubnat3 doesnt make it for the january panels, whens the next one?

I really hope 3 & 4 are combined... panels are supposed to be quarterly, so if PUBNAT4 misses the January ones, the next chance would probably be in the area of April...

I'm holding my breath i sure hope they come in this week my face is already purple :(. I have noticed that alot of the ATC stuff comes out on friday like maybe thats they day they send notices emails ext.
 
I'm guessing that it'll still be a week or two. If panels are in early/mid-January and we get geo prefs around six weeks before, that would mean end of November or early December.

ok so today at 3:30 I called into the FFA # given on the application webpage I was placed on hold for about 15 minutes but finally got ahold of susan I mentioned I was in the application process for pubnat 3 taken atsat was well qualified and was wondering when we would get more information about the referrall list she said "you should get an email soon about your geo preferences" I responded stating "do you think that will be this month or so?" she said "they are actually developing them now you should have them in the next week to two weeks" I said "will all well qualified applicants get a geo pref email" she responded "what was your score" I said "85 just barely well qualified" she said "yeah you should get one (being pretty vague she didnt want to say YES or NO seems as tho she had lines she couldnt cross)" so I said "does that mean they still have plans to have the panels on january second" shes stuttered for a second then said "uhhh hmmm.... (as if she didnt know if she could respond the the question) she then said yes it has not been confirmed but that seems to be the plan, I didnt know that information had been released yet" at this point I figured I just want to know as much as I can its the most info I have recieved thus far from that area code 405 number let alone just a answer. So I went on to ask "Well then is it also true that they are going to combine pubnat 3 and 4?" she stuttered again "uh... they actually are not combining them per say." so I asked "well are they going to have them clsoe together or something because if I applied to pubnat 3 and also 4 do I get the opportunity twice?" she responded "well they will be considered seperate we have never done one together but they are sending out the geo prefs together (whatever in the world that means)" So all in all she didnt devulge too much information it seems as though unless you have an "inside" source they can just confirm information but the good news is that it seems as if we are going to recieve our pubnat 3 maybe 4 geo prefs within the next couple days to two weeks.:panic: im still purple faced because im still holding my breath much more of this and ill be dead (only because I cant hold my breathe for a long time)

Many thanks for the info MIA! The only thing that seems odd is her wavering on who gets geo prefs. As I understand it, it has been a known fact all the way back to the the first group that everyone who passes the ATSAT gets a geo pref email, regardless if one's score is 70 or 100. The wq/q thing only comes into play at panels if it there are more preferences than openings at a particular facility.

I was under that impression as well; however, I remember someone from pubnat 2 not recieving a geo pref email I may be wrong. That was the whole reason why I had asked her. Well see I guess when they come out I just sure hope she is accurate and our Geo Prefs come this week or next!!!!!!!!

man your a debi downer why don't you rain on our parade a little more man its been awhile since weve heard anything im just excited that they didnt forget about us. This job is important to me and im excited for any news I hope it works out for all who post on this forum. but your right tis probably nothing more than an email asking us where we want to be at when we all pretty much already know.

Oh my goodness... punctuation please :panic:

And yes, that's all the geo pref email is - a link to a website where you select enroute/terminal and choose your 2 states.
 
It won't be anti-climactic for me. It'll be a moment of great relief, because for a while I've wondered if they might just change their mind about accepting OTS applicants.

Any sign that we're still in the game will be awesome to the max.
