So can someone shed some light on how the payscale works. ONce we get to CPC, do we get paid the minimum? Will we always start out getting paid the minimum CPC if we go from a level 7 to an 8 or 9 and so on. If so, how do we ever get to making really good money? I guess I just don't understand how it works completely.

Thanks.

I have already seen those pay bands which is why I ask for clarification since they don't explain exactly how the min max works and how it works with switching facilities.

I believe the min-max in each pay range has to do with time in service, as you see, different level facilities already have different pay scales. I know that is how it worked in the Army (ie. a Staff Sergeant with 10 years in service gets paid more than a Staff Sergeant with 4 years in service).

Each time you check out...you get a raise...I'm sure they give you a raise to the min at first and if you don't check out within a certain amount of time they give you a couple more peanuts...

Unless you are at a low level facility...then you don't get a raise until you're all done.

Anyone else get this email this morning? The first sentence made me think it was a scam (give me your bank account # so I can deposit $20 million) but the sender address and rest of it seemed legitimate so I replied to it.

First of all I want to introduce myself. I am a staff member of the Air
Traffic Organization, NAS Workforce Group.

BUT.... this is also like the 5th time I've filled out this paperwork and submitted it, and technically the instructions don't say what to do if you choose B or C. For A it says to e-mail them back, B or C it just says 'follow the instructions' which are only aout the form not about e-mailing them back to faa.gov

Oh well, too nit-picky of me right? My HR rep is still on vacay and I'm antsy to talk to someone...

anyone going to the PEPC tues 8/4? I have an appt for 9a

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is. I replied to my PEPC invite after business hours on the day it was sent to me (Which was at 5 pm anyway).

On Tuesday, I still hadn't heard back, so I called my rep, C.C., and she told me her email was down and if I don't hear anything by Friday to call her back...

Then yesterday, I get an email from a different rep, J.M., with an OF-306 attached that says it needs to be submitted by today.

Now I don't know what to do, because I am fairly certain the PEPC ppl fill out that form at the PEPC. I have been trying to call J.M. for the last 30 minutes and get nothing but busy signals (go figure, if all the ppl wouldn't be "squeeky wheels" maybe people with important issues could get through).

Can someone plz confirm/deny the fact that OF 306 usually only gets sent to traditional people via email?

It says on the form that you may have to fill it out multiple times through out your hiring process. I dont see the big deal. Your question is no more important than those "squeaky wheels" you speak of. Fill it out and send it in. I went to PEPC and it was completed prior to PEPC.

Well, I just got my PEPC confirmation, from CC. My concern is I do not want to initiate the traditional process when I am supposedly going to the PEPC.

Over on SM a guy asked his HR rep what happens if he has his TOL prior to going to ATL. They said that is okay and to still go to Atlanta. I received three forms attached with my PEPC invite. Did you get them?

It was Credit Release, Declaration of Fed Employment, and 8500 med form

Yep, I got them, in the process of emailing the 306 and credit release back to CC and another 306 to JM. Thanks!

Not a valid concern. If you would have read the document through, it says toward the top that "you will be asked to fill this out through out the hiring process". :)

Who are you to say what concerns are valid? Let me ask you, how many different HR reps have you had to deal with at a time?

What gives you the right to say that people only have "squeeky wheel concerns"? You are the one who stated that people with less valid concerns were calling in, hence preventing you from getting through to ask your vapid and obvious question. I have been assigned about 5 different reps since I recieved the initial offer in May. How can I tell you your concern is not valid? Because you obviously did NOT read the form where it says in plain English:

"you will be asked to fill this out through out the hiring process".

Pretty straight forward if you ask me. It is a statement of Federal Employment. Common sense would clue you in that I would have to filled out regardless pepc or traditional. :)
