Oh, it must be because...Compass
Nope.

I don't JUST want to look at Tricia Helfer (the Adama Senior/Junior dynamic is really interesting), but it certainly helps.

You want to take her to the beach, luncheon on Salade Niçoise and sketch with her while the sun sets?

(The sun sets OVER the water, Floridians… Apart from the oil spill, California's Central Coast is the only way to go.)

Um, yeah, that's a good start.

Habit, mostly. (Although honestly (1) I'm very used to it, (2) It sets you out as a flight crew member when you are upstairs dealing with customer service, and (3) "Where's your lid, kid" is a common question I get on the odd occasion I run into Dad.) And since the coat is technically required year-round here (although @ComplexHiAv8r apparently doesn't even own one...)...
I was told I don't need one yet. Hat or blazer. 8).

Your attention is directed to Standard Practice 3007, Pilot Personal Appearance, Grooming, and Uniforms, item (4), para. a (1), which, paraphrased in relevant part, requires that a Company-approved jacket be worn year-round, except when extreme environmental conditions exist.

(This means that [for instance] Phoenicians rarely wear one, and good for them - it's bloody hot down that way. The remainder of us have fewer good excuses.)

Get an approved jacket. ;)

is that the same section saying we have to wear underwear??? I was told by management not a problem..... 8). I'll defer to them. There is a funny reason but it's for a discussion over beers, or whiskey. They can't figure my shirts out, how can they a blazer?
