Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

So. You and the wife willing to come down to DC to celebrate? I bet we could get @hook_dupin and maybe @bucksmith to celebrate with us.
SHOTS!! Of apple juice with my kids...
No seriously, I get out sometimes. Maybe I'll find some cash laying around so I can buy him a round without my wife finding out!
And maybe you guys could take a train out here to, **ahem**, wine country.

I appreciate the kind words.

I definitely want to make it down there, the question is of course when. I start a trip on Friday, have two days off after that before I start another four day. Start class the day after that trip ends. I am trying my best to get someone else to pick up my last trip so I can have time to prepare, but I very much doubt that'll happen.

Related: Any XJT CRJ-700 FOs who might want to pick up a trip in DTW that starts on the 17th and ends on the 20th, commutable on both ends. Feel free to let me know! :-D

Either way, supposedly after I finish in MIA there is a pretty good wait before beginning IOE, that might be realistically our best bet. Will definitely keep you advised.

A few other shops just lost out big time with this one.

You're wrong, but thanks anyway for the kind words. Before the interview they were showing a presentation saying "we have over 1,000 applications on file." I felt like raising my hand to ask exactly what in the world I was doing there.

Also, I think it's way more important to add that no matter how one gets a call, people's resume and how they interview gets the job.

All a recommendation can do is get someone a chance. From that point, it's solely in their hands. Way more important is being impressed that given the opportunity, they met the challenge. Very worthy.

Yeah, but that chance is the hardest part of the whole process. There are so many of us out here, perfectly capable of knocking the interview out of the park, just need that chance to do so. That's why i think this community, and what it stands for is so damn important.

I actually had a few questions about Atlas since I saw they opened up accepting Dispatcher resumes. I was just curious how much of your flying Domestic, or Flag 121 ops, as opposed to Supplemental? And a few other general questions.....

Oh by the way congrats @Screaming_Emu!!

International is mostly Flag. Actually that's true for most of my flying. As far as the overall mix? Not sure.
and of course our DHL Domestic network is domestic.

Most of your questions will be answered on the "Current Investor Presentation" on the corporate home page.

Thank you. Didn't want to make this about me! Clearly I have some more research.

If you don't mind could I PM you some questions about the culture there?

I don't have any insight into the culture in HQ.
