Oh, I already voted in the recall balloting. I like the new on-line voting. Phone voting wasn't too hard, but this is even easier. There's NO excuse for guys to put off voting anymore.
As for the lack of RA/LOAs in Oct, I think it's two fold: #1 our block hours are going back up. Hell, we already had 1400 CA and 990 FO hours of open time in Sept, and we LOST 3000 block hours across the board. They may be trying to bring staffing back around to cover for "increase in unplanned absences" thanks to the new DAL pass "benefits" we've got. #2 They're anticipating the TA passing and having a DOS of Oct 1st. However, that doesn't really fly since bidding and schedules would already be done for Oct. TA may suck, but it DOES mean they'll need more people to staff things. The one issue that bugs me is the clause in the dual qual LOA that says 3-4 crews per airplane. That's thinner than ANY other regional out there, but I wouldn't put it past this place to furlough down to that number to save $0.05.
Joe, you may have the "our flying" right, but it's likely coming from a Comair guy rather than a Mesaba guy. That's my sad take on the situation. We never flew LGA-TYS before this merger, and that's all I'm gonna say.....
It's so tough in this biz, and with a big pilot group, to keep on top of everyones issues. People need to be more involved with their union I think. Which has been said many times on this thread, don't mean to preach to the choir all the time, just a reminder.
Yeah what's with the Airlink flying out of LGA???? I think Comair is the only DCI (Delta South) carrier doing Airlink flying. Welcome to NYC!Oh, I already voted in the recall balloting. The CEO sold 33k shares yesterday for a nice quarter million so who knows.
I love how our crew page has a new addition.... a stock tracker with an up to date PNCL stock to what seems like the minute.
Only a few more days. How long will it take to find out the results?
Well do you guys think its going to pass? The union message board had about 400 votes or so and got over 70% no. That means if everyone on that board voted the no votes are only going to need a couple hundred people to vote no for the majority.
I think that the most important thing for us is that after the vote is announced we need to go back to being a unified pilot group no matter the result of the vote.

I agree. Now that the vote is done, we need to collect info for the NC to take back to the company so they can say "Fix these sections and we'll try again."
If you believe the ACP in MEM, we're gonna furlough now. At least, that's what he's been telling everyone will happen if the TA failed.
Did it fail or are you just expecting it to?
