I went to the meeting and this is what i got out of it. (don't kill the messenger if you don't like it)
Integration can not occur until there is a pilot contract at Pinnacle. He said that is his number 1 priority going forward. He said that he wants us voting on it within 3 weeks. When asked how we could do that if we are on "ice" he said that he personally has called the NMB asking to meet again within a week or two. He also admitted that there needs to be a change in culture at pinnacle and he is responsible for more than 50% of it. He said that is a goal going forward. He said that there will be two airlines, there will be plenty of growth opportunitess going forward for both sides. He wants integration to start by this fall is the way i understood it. There will be a base eventually in JFK, probably by the end of the year, they just need more commitment from Delta. Also the SLC stuff should remain as of now.
This is the way i view this stuff. If I am voting on an acceptable contract within the next month and it passes, I will accept the fact that they want to change the culture here going forward and do my part to help. If they do negotiate again and its the same old stuff with pathetic last minute changes that stall the talks, then forget about it. Either way, we still have to work together with the pilots of xj and 9l to do this the right way.

Sorry guys, someone had to make the sticker...
Dude, seriously. How many of those are you planning on having made? I've got RR on Tuesday. All I have to do is sit there with this up on my computer, and you'll probably get tons of orders.....
Also, I don't even fly for Comair, and I might get one of those.![]()
jaded said:The minimum order for the screeners is 250, so that's what I'm going for initially. Yeah I'm thinking of making a Mesaba version of the Comair sticker.irate:
So I got my coffee flask as well. I know this is the pilot forum, but I know all of us here in the office are wondering how all this will be going down. Us dispatchers are wondering how we will get mixed in the Colgan dispatchers most of all. I guess its good we all have unions and contracts, unlike most the people in the G.O.

If I've touched but one heart then I have lived:beer:
I would assume that they will pick one location as a HQ, and offer positions to all that would have to move... Much like any other forced move. When the Colgan HQ moved to mem, they offered the spots to the current folks first, then hired to fit. Some dispatchers too a furlough/ release rather than quit. Some moved. I'd bet it mostly depends on what you want to do at that point.
Trust me, Colgan doesn't have enough dispatchers to cover their current flights... I doubt they would be picking up any of yours.
I am interested to see how many of the "XJ Lifers" are going to move to Memphis. The general consensus right now is about 50/50.Yeah from everything Pinnacle is saying we are all headed to MEM. Still no time table but it looks like we will have at least one more MN winter to live through. Like you said I guess we will just have to see how many of us are willing to head south.
And rumor has it GingerSpice is not going south.
