Pilot Killed on 2nd Leg of Round the World Flight

The only thing worse than pilot influencers are pilot influencers who talk about ANYTHING other than flying. I don’t care about your acting career, photography, side hustle, workout routine, or whatever ever other • you come up with.

Now we’re talking about dental work??!!

I just ignore.

I hate that the algorithm tries to feed me pilot-related content, pilot-related services and pilot-related products.

Pilot shoes! Our feet are special
Pilot Financial Services! Our money is literally different than a plumbers
Pilot Epaulet Shirts! They’re literally no different that a mall cop’s

What ever happened with companies prohibiting their branded items such as company titles, uniforms, etc, not being used in personal social media? Not a thing anymore?

It’s still a thing, just that there’s such a vast amount of it.

What “Corporate America” does now is stockpile information so that when they finally come down on you for something, they basically hand your counsel a stack of infractions and other deleterious behaviors over the years and then ask if they need to have their parking validated on the way out.

I keep telling guys to stay the F off the internet in the cockpit, but they don’t believe me…

Had a captain on the internet on an empty ferry flight Dude, really?

Narcissism is a powerful feeling…

I’ve got some pictures and videos from over the years but the vast majority are for me I hang in a Me Room some day. Occasionally the “hey look at this cool thing I got to do” is tagging family and friends so my social media gets my MIl off my back which is the same reason I’ve got pictures of other stuff on there. “He never talks about you! He never takes pictures with the kids!” “He just posts dark Sesame Street memes and other tasteless humor!”

There’s someone, who is ‘no longer with us’, that live-streamed his approach and landing, then attempted to say it wasn’t him.
I mean… I’ve had “Activate Video Recorder” be part of the checklist….

But it was doing an assault landing to a target not my F’ing Instagram. We did have a guy also no longer with us that shared a low pass over a place sharing TS level data with Facebook… That was a fun couple weeks.

What? They are such a rare and unique vehicle. 🤨

I like talking about what folks are doing with their motorcycles not what crap they’ve bolted to their motorcycles. I have 99k on one bike and 64k on the other. Lots of great stories, my bikes are rarely the stars of the story unless the subject is amazing reliability. I primarily ride Honda’s.

I have little in common with the guy that spent $40k on his CVO and puts about 500 miles a year on it.

Guess we can't be friends. Have a '94 Springer collecting dust with 14k miles (451/yr). Was saving it to mount in the new house's den. Wife CNX that. Same for the -8 in the pic. Thought it would look great on a pedestal in the back yard when I finished flying.

Actually, we can be friends because I don’t encourage friends to ride bikes. It would just feel like you took my wise friendly advice. That said, it doesn’t appear that you’re using your bikes for an awkward social flex. Liking the aesthetic is perfectly fine.

Hard disagree on this one, because if you follow any of these people long enough (not necessarily pilots, but any influencer), pretty soon it all becomes an obvious "brand" and money grab. Probably an inevitable result of the world we're in where everything has become a commodity. If it was for her friends it would be a private page. This is blasted out to a mass audience that this person will probably never interact with. To each their own, but I don't really think it's the same as calling someone up to chat or even sending them a text directly.
You can always tell by the number of hashtags they use. #STFUidiots
