Wow, looks like even UND isn't safe from its own version of the "Riddle Runaround." Trust me, I know how you feel. ERAU's instrument program is the same kind of deal: take a single-engine instrument course, then before you can get your ticket, you have to do a whole other multiengine instrument course before you're rated. Total cost: ~$15000. Total time spent: 10 months, including a 6 month break in between before I could even start the multiengine instrument course! Overly ridiculous and costly? You bet.
