Qbicle seat warmer
It's dark beer season. That keeps me warm.Better stock up on IPAs. I hear flannels keep you warm if the heat goes out.

That's fair. I have a hard time drinking dark beers when it's 100 degrees in the summer. But it's still my favorite beer. It’s always dark beer season.
The hell is wrong with you people up there you forgot that. (Would kill for a Thor’s Equinox)

Exactly. Although rice lagers have become my new summer drink around here. That’s why you can put ice in whisky.

Ooooh. That sounds amazing. I will have to try that.My wife got me into cinnamon whisky and orange soda over ice….
For whatever reason that goes great about 430pm finishing a lawn and sweaty.

Pretty interesting meteorological event coming in the next 24-48 hours off shore the Pacific NW. A bomb cyclone is going to form which will approach CAT 3/4 hurricane force winds in less than 24 hours and a pressure possibly sub 950hPA.
A look at the current Mid-Level Water vaper loop 24 hours prior has essentially no evidence of this:

The GFS however shows it's quick formation:

Wind gusts to 70 in the foot hills of the cascades and the coastline with seas to 30-40ft offshore. SEA is forecast to have crosswinds to 40+ kts.
There is a strong atmospheric river component as well that will set up on the Oregon/California border bringing almost a foot of rain to that region.
Pretty amazing event that will rival the Columbus Day storm of 1962 and may exceed that from a pressure standpoint.
We had one of these really big blows when I was a kid and the power was out for four days, though it was a lot more than 40 knots; the no-kidding hurricane level of wind.
Flap issue and ensuing overrun, if this is to be believed, evidently.Cargojet (operating for Prime Air) 767 over-ran 8L at YVR by a lot in the last hour or two, ended up on its nose. I wonder if it's related.
The day I got hired by QX, I was leaving SEA and thankfully did it that morning…that afternoon was insane, they had SEA closed, both floating bridges, no ferries.
Looking back at the Hanukkah Eve wind storm 16 years ago
16 years ago, on the evening of Dec. 14 into early Dec. 15, the storm plowed through the region with wind gusts up to 100 mph.mynorthwest.com
God forbid the road curves. Only worse drivers are the Oregons
It’s been nice having a National Weather Service. Can we get Florida residents to come shoot at it?
