Orlando tower aborts Southwest takeoff roll on taxiway.

I dunno why any reference to the 11 makes me think of my buddy. Fresh off OE, starts walking to a two engined plane from the cargo terminal. CA is like "dude, that plane doesnt even have the same amount of engines in your type rating". He gets into the right airplane, and doesnt care at all. Theyre all the same
He doesn't deserve her. She commands and deserves his respect. There's an Airbus out there with his name on it.

Every MD11 and 777 touches china at least once a week. Not a great time to be on the front lines of a trade war with an unhinged executive branch.

Sh*tter in the cockpit it is. :) Welcome to the dark side?

Look at the bright side, you’ll never have to wonder if the plane you’re walking to is the correct one with an engine on the tail or not ;)

If I get a runway change during taxi, we’re going to have to stop and run some checklists. Sometimes it requires some “creativity” to get the aircraft legal for a planned runway and that same level of work may be required for an alternate runway and I’ve got 16 hrs that I don’t want to worry if we were legal or not for external convenience.

My airplane will give “runway mismatch” error if you’re lining up with a runway that is in geographical opposition to what departure runway is in the FMS.

It's not that confusing.

Your airplane (and every other transport in the modern era) has a takeoff warning system that monitors flap and slat, spoiler, parking brake and stab trim position (and it's actually a relatively good one, NO TAKEOFF, FLAPS! will fire if you have the lever in the wrong takeoff position, not merely outside of a takeoff position).

I thought she was on the CRJ? If so, that aircraft only checks for a valid takeoff flap position, and not the correct one.

I really like those features. Hope we're fitting the rest of them to the 320 (heh).
