Oh Oh Ohhhhh GLP-1!!!

Has anyone had any experience with GLP1 in daily pill form? Have seen some ads for them and think they would be great as an alternative to the shot since the schedule has me on the road 17-19 days a month in some non traditional locales where cooling can be an issue šŸ˜‚
I am doing the wegovy pill. The only drawback is you have to take it on an empty stomach (i.e. first thing in the morning), take it with 4oz or less of water, and not eat or drink anything else for 30 minutes. All that is fine unless you have a random redeye thrown into your schedule.

I guess I could look, but how are the results thus far?

I don't mind the shot, I'm literally side-effect free but a pill would be more convenient if it's once per week like the injection.

I could be mistaken but I think the pill form is dally.

It’s a daily pill.😬

I just started about six weeks ago and had to take a two week break in the middle for surgery. So far, I’ve lost 4 lbs. I am increasing my dose on my next refill.

6 month update

Down to 205 from 235
Feeling great
Lost at a normal rate so no hanging skin so far.
On the 10 dosage of Zepbound
Out of pocket, but worth it
Lilly direct saves a couple bucks
I don’t get the ā€œthanksgiving fullā€ feeling all that often, maybe I’m eating normal portions.
I DO get snacky, but six months in I know I can quiet that FoOd NoIsE

I can tie my shoes without having to hold my breath, so that’s cool.

Lost a few belt holes, had to order smaller uniform, and have packed away my ā€œfat kid clothingā€ hoping to never return to that size.

Good luck to all that are on it!

How is the Wegovy pill working for you? Are you finding any issues with time changes and/or side effects?

I'm about to quit my Wegovy injection entirely. Been on it for too long now (8 months?) and I still have the same, essentially all, side effects. Depending on how bad my side effects are when I take the 1.7mg, I often step it back down to 1.0 or off entirely for a week or two to give my physical and mental a flipping break. I'm down 30 lbs now but the side effects are literally THE WORST.

I'm seriously looking for other avenues and my endocrin doc (since I take thyroid meds) says the only option is to move to the pill version (Wegovy or maybe Foundayo). I can not imagine ever moving up to a 2.4mg or heaven forbid a 7.2mg Wegovy. Maybe I should just go into maintenance mode until they come out with a version that doesn't include nausea and vomiting. I'm so over this.
