I wonder if they're going to ground the Max's.

Next 2 seconds:
F—! I'm flying too much already.

Wonder if it will be just the Max or if they would include -900ER operators with the plugged door,ie SouthernJets

If there are two types of people in the world......the ones aware of the existence of this "plug" door in the 737, and the ones who aren't, I would have described myself as the latter. What the F other weird Easter eggs of years past are in these jalopies? :) Seriously though, is that just where the aft doors used to be in the short body planes, and it was carried forward or something? Or was it intended as an additional door, even with the aft doors?

They are for high density seating.
 
SJI has them on the former Lion Air planes, that used to have 200+ seats in them. They’ve got a gap in the seating + FA Jumpseats there
