No furloughs at Pinnacle?

Last I was told he was swimming (maybe floating) for the Bus/Boeing midget offspring.

Hopefully, he gets pulled out of the water soon. My arms are getting tired from swimming over in my pool. Although, now we're hearing classes possibly starting in Sept. That's a LOT different from the last rumor of next summer.....

I wonder if Andrew is even going to talk to me as he thinks he is now superior to me with the new plane he will be flying.

Huh amorris311?

Not only will it be he baby bus but it sounds like he will be wearing the hat while he does it... Of course he's superior! Haha.

What's an example of a seven leg day on a jet?

Just the out-and-backs out of ATL followed by a flight to the layover? Or more spread out? That is a lot of flying.

The SWA example above doesn't sound too bad for five legs provided there's no long sit anywhere in there, which there most likely isn't given that it's SWA.

So what is happening come Oct to those flying @ Colgan? Is everyone off to Pncl? I haven't heard the f word but it seems like there's a lot attrition to JetBlue and Spirit...

I'm pretty sure that jetBlue isn't running classes right now (possibly at the end of the year) and Spirit has really slowed down. People from the bottom of the list are leaving for other regionals like xjt, cpz, skyw and psa. But all of those classes are starting to slow down too. I'm guess when this training bubble pops then we'll see a few furloughs, but right now mgmt doesn't know what's happening so crew planning really has no idea what to do as far as staffing goes.

Most of the attrition, as was mentioned, is from the FO side of the list. Lots of guys went to Silver, and we've got guys going to Skywest and Republic. Not much movement on the CA side. A few guys have gone to Virgin, but no one has gone to jetBlue this year. A few guys are swimming in the pool over there (3 of us in JFK I know of), but their MIGHT be a class this fall of a whopping 12 people. AFAIK, none of the 9E guys are in the top 20 of the pool over there. Spirit has slowed down as well, if not stopped. I haven't heard of any CAs leaving since before the summer, and I've actually moved DOWN in seniority thanks to the displacements. FedEx is still taking guys mostly out of MEM, but that's slowed down a bit, too. A quick glance at the seniority list will show you the FO side is WAY out of balance with the CA side right now. CA lines are in the 75-80 hour range in JFK. FOs? 90+.

Seriously, I can't hold MSP, barely get LCR in DTW and my seniority could get me 95+ with 14 days off in JFK. I know how I'm changing my perf bid.

Spirit is still hiring.

Yea the differences are crazy. I'll be able to hold a decent line in JFK. MSP I would be sitting reserve.
