No furloughs at Pinnacle?

What's an example of a seven leg day on a jet?

Just the out-and-backs out of ATL followed by a flight to the layover? Or more spread out? That is a lot of flying.

The SWA example above doesn't sound too bad for five legs provided there's no long sit anywhere in there, which there most likely isn't given that it's SWA.

I didn't mind multiple legs in a day. The problem with when I was doing it was that every time we went through ATL, it was a (relatively) short turn and we arrive in B we're out of D, then we arrive in T then we're out of E. Then you have a three-hour "productivity sit" to fly to a 10 hour layover.

We have a ton of pairings with days like this.

Wow.

Those seven leg days are going to be limited to 11 hours on duty if I remember correctly (best case, i.e. the least restrictive start time). All of the ones you posted are well over 13 hours.

It will be very interesting to see the reaction to these new rules. Nights like last night in ATL would end up very differently as many crews wouldn't be legal to depart to the outstation at 01:30 after lengthy summer weather delays all afternoon.

Absolutely right Nick. I'll post the trips again for all when I get rid of the hotel info. I've heard over 50% of the 200 schedules in ATL will be illegal with the new rest rules. Some kind of adjustment will have to be made to take to 200 off the short stuff until Delta gets rid of them. Long thin routes like Dallas Love and Columbia, MO are a good start to getting the 200 stage lengths up. Delta this fall will be adding mainline service to several stations that have not had a mainline airplane for years.

DL
is adding more mainline flying back to routes out of
ATL
that traditionally have not seen
DL
mainline service much, if not all for a better part of the decade.

Most of the flights are RON flights, leaving
ATL
in the evening, departing for
ATL
in the morning. In many markets they are compensating with the reduction of a CRJ frequency. This is adding more capacity at peak
travel

times and adding a 2-
class service

on the more popular business flights. Note that most other service throughout the day will remain on 50 seat CRJs

Wow, what a bunch of wimps on here. Complaining about doing seven legs in a jet?!?!?

YHGTBSM.

Try seven to nine legs in a Beech 1900, no autopilot, no APU, no FAs, no snacks or drinks. Y'all wouldn't have lasted and y'all would have been crying to ALLATP for your money back.

Poor baby.

You sound like amorris311 with this post.

I call ops to have catering come back if the snack tray is missing sun chips!

I think it was a fluke but we had the choice of steak & lobster or steak & shrimp once as a crew meal on a 2-leg daytrip!

No autopilot, no go!!! :def:

(I'm just sayin' this because you're the one with a tray table in front of you...I cannot fly with my legs crossed like you probably do by now)

Well that's why you go to ERAU so you don't have to fly a prop!!! Duh!!

dont we have people still in class from 12-03 that overlap with the start of 12-04? i thought that was against the jcba? it doesn't matter anymore. I have doubts that UAL said we are done. It's more likely that our friend John aka spanky Spankers said f-it. There is no way that Republic or Silver, or Rambo or anyone could pick up all this flying in one month. From the adjustments made in Jan to the Ual agreement, we were making money as long as we completed these flights. How is this jackhole going to tell the bk judge that we voluntarily gave up revenue? So this makes me wonder, what else is Spanjers willing to throw away? I see Francesco Schettino crawling into the lifeboat. If that isn't a sign, i don't know what is.

Even better, we have guys scheduled to go to training AFTER the IAH flying is done.....and they bid IAH. At first the company said "No, we're still sending you to training." Like it's some kind of punishment for bidding a perfectly legit position they had open. Now, they're saying they might just buy those guys off for a month or two until the vacancy catches up to what we're actually flying. And they wonder why we're in bankruptcy. It's boneheaded training decisions like those that partially got us here....

Oh yea I'm not so worried on going back to the right seat. I was slated to go to q training on the 6th. We will wait and see now I guess.
