NKS TA released

The harvey watt plan is good compared to the company. It’s $79 a month and honestly I’m not sure about collecting ltd and working I’m not at home to dig through the paperwork right now. I do know that it was the only thing I could find that would offer me some ltd protection bc what the company has now is absolute garbage

Yeah, but you can't say that the private plan is nearly as good as the plan in the TA or that you can wait it out because you have a legitimate LTD plan.

I can right now because the only thing we know from the ta is that it's owner occupation up to 65, and you have to do a buy up to make it worth it, no word on how much the buy up will cost or what company the ltd plan is through. So honestly me not having flexibility at this point is more important. I've been on reserve for a year and a half and will be on reserve for at least another year at this rate, the only good thing about working here right now is my flexibility (and health ins). To answer the short term question yes the company has a std/ltd that goes to 3-5 years depending on the wording and which low tier ltd company they farmed it out too. Yes I know there would be a two year gap between that and when my Harvey watt plan would start, thankfully my wife has a good job.

How's your current scope clause?

Are you a jr CA in ACY or something? Just wondering because many bases don't have people sitting RSV for years. Even for junior captains

As for scope it says “in the event an air carrier or an entity that controls an air carrier acquires the company or if the company or an entity that controls the company acquires another air carrier and the parties to the transaction determine that the company will not be operationally merged with the other air carrier...” and it goes on to list some provisions no furlough etc, but why would I vote for something that allows us to be run as two companies (even with provisions in place). Also for code sharing it just says we have to do a “part” of it. That could be Cle-ord then Frontier could go to Denver or wow could go to Iceland. The language isn’t strong enough for me, there’s also a lot of “to the extent possible” and “beyond the companies control” means that it’s possible that they would give it up

Yikes that sounds like a whipsaw in the making.

Is that language directed at acquiring a regional so they don't have to merge Spirit pilots with, say, Great Lakes pilots?

A couple notes about PBS:

1) Inplementation and operating rules are absolutely key. It HAS to have a "kill switch" to hold over the company otherwise you'll never get any changes to the system. A system set up to leave zero open time is miserable.

2) it's a huge productivity gain for the company. Worth probably 10-12% staffing depending on your PWA. Maybe more.
