We were told that the hourly rate bump was to help cover the cost of adding the contact hour bonuses.

So that means that I am going to pay extra 4 dollars an hour to pay another students instructor... Nice.
something like that. if your instructor doesn't work enough during the semester than they dont' get the bonus, but some instructors last semester worked close to or over 600 hours (not all flight) and they definetly early a little additional compensationSo that means that I am going to pay extra 4 dollars an hour to pay another students instructor... Nice.
no raise, but a "bonus" if you work x amount of hours in the semester. 4/hour per every hour you worked can add up to a lot. i.e. 600x4=2400.00 pre taxI thought it was said earlier that the actual Flight Instructors do not get a pay raise. I don't get where the $4 is going, it should go to the instructors.![]()

Haha, well then switch instructors, I'll take you.I have no problem paying a little extra, I just kind of wish it was going to my instructor.

I think I'm busy enough this semester.anic:
How's your training going?
always a good planWell, I might take you up on that, now that you offered.
I've got 221 lesson 1 tomorrow, so I am really looking forward to that... I think discussing Policy and Procedures/TCO will be very fun. I'm going to try and finish 221 quickly though, weather permitting...
Your chances are 100% IF you don't meet the automatic admissions criteria. However, you will most likely still get in. I was reviewed, for a missing social science credit and they let me in. I had a high GPA and good SAT scores. I don't know how it works if you have a GPA issue or SAT issue. I think the whole admissions department here is a joke, especially the director--Heidi something. Her office is very unorganized, so be aware of the dates your grades and things are due. They will most likely lose everything important, so you will probably have to send it in again. Also, the admissions department hasn't discovered the computer yet. So trying to accomplish anything via the very new concept of the internet is probably a lost cause.
I wouldn't worry. If you don't get accepted and you still want to go to UND, send in an appeal and you will get in.
you were right about them losing everything I got an e-mail today from UND
Thanks for applying for admission! I see you applied for admission online, but
it appears we do not have your application fee. In addition to academic
transcripts and official test scores, the fee is necessary for us to keep the
process moving forward toward making an admission decision.
Here are your application fee payment options:
* Mail a check for $35 to the following address (made out to UND): UND
Admissions Office, 264 Centennial Dr, Stop 8357, Grand Forks, ND 58202-8357.
* A credit card payment: By phone if you call UND's Student Account Services
at (701)777-3911. You'll leave a message and an assistant will return your call
to complete the transaction.
Wow, No way my guidance sent everything to them in the middle of December. I sent them check personally and a resume there is no way they lost everything I sent them!!! I particularly remember I got a card from UND asking my transcripts and ACT in December 4 days after I applied, since they were so quick my guidance did not have time to send my transcripts yet. Now 4 weeks later, they tell me I did not send them anything not even a check that they said they got! :banghead:
Gonna reply to their e-mail asking whats up with thatanic:
I would recommend that your parents or guidance counselor send the email asking what happened. Things will get done more effectively that way.
Calling them would probaly be quicker and more effective.
